Adult Tennis Programs

Cardio Tennis

Co-ed Cardio Tennis is a fun, group fitness program taught by a Certified Teaching Professional. It’s a 60-minute program which includes a warm up, cardio drills and games, and a cool down phase. We are one of 1700 “authorized” Cardio Tennis sites throughout the USA.

Starter Cardio Tennis, Thursdays, 9:45-10:45 am; Saturdays, 9:30-10:30am
Adult group exercise combines tennis with fun, calorie burning, and high-intensity workout on the tennis court. Free for all PCC members. Non-members may attend for $30/class.

Advanced Cardio Tennis, Thursdays, 8:45-9:45 am, Wednesday 6-7 pm; Saturdays, 8:30-9:30am 
Adult group exercise for extra fit tennis players and level 3.5+ who want to improve tennis fitness and power. Free for PCC Tennis members. PCC Swim/Fit members may attend for $15/class and Non-members may attend for $30/class.

Other: Must wear court-appropriate tennis shoes. Rackets available to borrow, if needed.

Mixed Doubles Fridays

Mixed Doubles Fridays have become a “thing.” We’ve filled two courts with rotating mixed teams enjoying a couple sets of happy hour tennis for a number of weeks in a row, when the weather has permitted. Mixed Doubles Friday has transitioned to an occasional Friday night status. For more info, contact us to get on the Evite list.

Tournaments and Ladders

  1. PCC offers several Tournaments and Ladders for you to get involved in throughout the year. Following are some of our regular tournaments (costs vary):

Club Championships (Spring 2017)

Our special “in-house” tournament for PCC Tennis members only. Opportunities to play singles, doubles, mixed doubles and juniors.

Tennis Ladders

Play is underway. It is not too late to join. New ladder members simply get added into the mix and play in through 2016. And now the PCC Ladder is free for members!

USTA Adult Leagues

Adult leagues are a great source of competition, camaraderie, and fun for all tennis enthusiasts, beginner to advanced. Below is an example of the USTA leagues that run through the Tennis Department.

  1. USTA Adult League:  April – July
  2. USTA Mixed Doubles League: June – September
  3. USTA Combo Doubles: September – December
  4. USTA 40+ League:  January – March

General USTA Requirements Include:

  • You must be 19 years or older and a PCC member. If a team does not have enough players, non-members can play with Tennis Director’s approval. However, at least 50% of the team must be PCC members.
  • You must have a USTA membership which extends through the local league season.
  • You must have a valid NTRP rating or will self-rate when you register on a team.
  • Pay the appropriate fees:
  • $44 USTA Membership
  • $25 Team Fee (to USTA)
  • $70 Non-Member fee to PCC

  • Women’s Doubles Play Days
    Level 3.0+: Tuesdays, 9 am – 11 am
  • Co-ed Doubles Play Days                                                                                                          Level 2.5+: Wednesdays,  9:30 am – 11 am
  • Men’s Doubles Play Days
    Levels 3.5+: Wednesdays, 11:30 am – 1:30 pm

Clinics

Members and non-members (costs vary)

Come to our clinics for a group lesson where you’ll improve your game and technique. Open to all levels and to both members and non-members. To attend, RSVP to specific coach.
