PCCA DOLPHIN SWIM TEAM NEWS
Our swim team is on hiatus due to the closure of the PCC and Sequoia High swimming pools as part of the Covid-19 mitigation strategy. We hope to return to pool as soon as possible.
Coaches Mark and Nicole have set up “dryland” exercises that are posted at the PCC Dryland Practice under the Aquatics tab on the Peninsula Community Center webpage.

PCCA DOLPHINS SUMMER 2019 SWIM TEAM Thanks for a great summer! The West Bay Swim League (WBSL) Championships were held at CSM on July 20th. The PCCA Dolphins finished as the second place team in the seven team league. Congratulations to our swimmers who placed first in the 2018 West Bay Swim League Championships!

PCCA Dolphin swimmers need to wear a green PCCA cap at swim meets.
PCCA swim caps (latex, soft silicone, silicone) are available at the Front Desk in the PCC lobby.
Goggles are available at the Front Desk in the PCC lobby.
PCC Aquatics welcomes swimmers ages 5-18 years old and has various practice groups based on level and experience. The Color Groups focus on stroke development and technique as well as basic racing strategies for both new and experienced swimmers. The Select groups are for advanced swimmers with a focus both on stroke technique and development as well as training and conditioning for competition throughout the year. Color groups are welcome to compete in USA Swim Meets upon his/her coach’s approval, but they are not required to until enrolled in a Select group.
PCCA Color Groups
Green Group Emphasis is on improving stroke technique for entry level 10 and under swimmers. Practices are 30 minutes 2 days per week during the school year and Mon-Fri during the Summer. Please see the registration form for practices and availability.
Red Group This group is for swimmers with skills that may include summer league/PCC Aquatics experience. Emphasis is on improving stroke technique and race preparation. Ages 7 to 14. Practices are 40 minutes 2 days per week during the the school year and Mon-Fri during the Summer. Please see the registration form for practice times and availability.
Blue Group This group is for swimmers who have completed PCC Aquatics Red level group, are familiar with stroke drills, reading the clock, and have good technique in all four strokes. Ages 7 to 14. Practices are 40 minutes 2 days per week during the school year and Mon-Fri during the Summer. Please see the registration form for practice times and availability.
Ruby Group This group prepares swimmers for the transition into the Bronze/Silver group. Ruby members focus on stroke technique, interval work, and race readiness while beginning to compete at local swim meets. Practices are 40 minutes 3 days per week during the school year and Mon-Fri during the Summer. Please see the registration form for practice times and availability. Color Group Registration Forms are also available at PCC.

PCCA Select Groups
Select groups include the Bronze, Silver and Gold groups. Participation in the Select Groups is by arrangement with the coaching staff and for advanced swimmers. Please contact us at [email protected] to arrange registration. The Select Groups’ program is conducted from late August through July, and swimmers are billed bi-monthly throughout the year (except January). New and returning swimmers are welcome to join as long as space permits and with coaches approval.
Bronze Group This group focuses on stroke technique, race readiness and training fundamentals to prepare for competition. Bronze group swimmers are strongly encouraged to participate in local and regional swim meets.
Silver Group Advanced age group and high school swimmers (ages 11-16) who have competed in our summer league program/PCC Aquatics and high school competition can be members in this group. The silver group focuses on stroke technique, race readiness, and training to prepare them for local and regional competition.
Gold Group Skilled and experienced age group swimmers ages 11 and older are welcome in this group. The group focuses on stroke technique, race readiness, and training to prepare athletes for local, regional and national competition. Practices are offered 5 times a week for 90 minutes. Meets: Select Group swimmers are expected to compete in USA Swim meets while enrolled on PCC Aquatics. This requires a USA Swimming Annual Membership. To register, swimmers must fill out and send in the application form and payment for 2020 to the address provided on the form. Forms are available at PCC.
